I liken the perfectionist to someone who runs out to run, unsuccessfully, after the perfect, impossible. I imagine the frustration, nervousness, someone who sets the bar very, very high ... Setting a goal is only meaningful if it is feasible, or make the perfect ...
I also think that it is more fulfilling to successfully reach 80% satisfaction (do the math, you see, this is not so bad!) Rather than 100% frustration.
